The FX Crew had the honor of working with the Lundy and Deao Families a couple of weekends ago during the beautiful wedding of Fallyne and Kevin. It was pretty much a storybook wedding from beginning to end with a beautiful bride, smiling groom, and a huge wedding party.
I've had the privilege of knowing the Lundy Family since college when I used to hang out with Fallyne's older sister Kaleigh. I haven't seen much of them since they've both moved away but it was surprising to see how gorgeous Fallyne looked in her wedding dress. The last time I remember seeing her she was still in high school!

Nic and Erica's wedding notched two firsts for me a couple of weeks ago. It was my first wedding in El Dorado, Kansas and it was my first really HOT wedding of the year. I'd been looking forward to this one for a while with all of the familiar faces I knew we'd see from past weddings. I knew this group knows how to party so I was ready for a pretty wild reception. I was not disappointed!
Everything went according to plan until about the last 20 minutes of their reception coverage. I had just finished up their ring shots outdoors and was putting some of the gear away. I was looking to get a some more dance shots of Erica before calling it a night. I spent about 20 minutes looking all over the reception until I finally spotted her. I was looking for her in the big white wedding dress when I finally figured out she had changed into some casual clothes. The heat had finally got to her and I almost couldn't find her.
We're really looking forward to seeing you guys again soon. Congrats on the wedding and the new house. It's been a busy month for you guys! Good luck with everything.

Kaynee and her family stopped by the studio a few weeks ago for a combination family and pregnancy session. Unfortunately, the youngest daughter, Emery wasn't to interested in taking family photos. We tried several tricks to get her to smile. Kylie even blew bubbles, but nothing really did the trick. Her dad, Dru, ended up entertaining her while we started on the pregnancy portion of the session. Dru and Kaynee will be adding a little baby boy to their family any day now. I'm definitely ready to meet baby Rowen and to get another shot at getting a smile from Emery.

Jaimee is definitely a die-hard fan. She had us photograph not one, not two, but THREE separate senior sessions. I had the honor of photographing this recent graduate for her final session last week. Her mom even tagged along and snuck in for a few mother/daughter shots! They were both a blast during the session. With this being her third and final session she's pretty much an experienced pro. She can almost pose herself now!

The crew met up with Amy and Jason in Pittsburg for their engagement session. Amy gets the pleasure of working with my husband, Mark, at Watco. I took a little longer than I should have editing Amy and Jason's session. It was getting to the point that Amy started harassing Mark about her pictures. It got so bad that Mark even came home crying a few times. I figured I had better get them posted before Mark started coming home with some contusions. I'm just kidding...Amy's a sweet girl and Jason is lucky to have her in his life.
The session went extremely well and I was really impressed with some of the answers Jason gave during the interviews, so be sure to check back on their video. Good luck with the wedding plans. We look forward to seeing you in October for the big day!

Tracy and Corey visited us at the studio for their engagement session a few weeks ago. It was nice seeing them again and getting a chance to know them better. I found out that Corey builds expensive yachts for a living and the company, believe it or not, is in St. Paul, KS. I had no idea there was such a company in St. Paul and I had to verify it at least three times from Corey before I believed him.
It was kind of:
"St. Paul?"
"Yes."
"Really?"
"Yes."
"St. Paul, Kansas?"
"Yes."
It's always interesting to learn something new. Especially when it is something that just doesn't seem like it would be true.

Quincy is simply an adorable little girl!
She wasn't to sure about the whole photography thing and wouldn't give us a smile for anything. She just wanted to crawl away and explore. Her mom, Megan, told us she loves to pull herself up and once we gave her a couch to do just that, we were able to keep her in one spot for a few minutes to get some cute shots. We even got her to smile!
The session went well and we can't wait to see Quincy at her one year session!

We packed up for a road trip to Independence last week to meet up with the lovely Jennifer and Nathan for their engagement session. We had an absolute blast working with these guys. We love shooting sessions in new and interesting locations. Nothing feels better than getting dropped into a place for the first time and coming up with some awesome images you haven't made before. Sometimes we just find one or two cool things to make the trip worth the work, but I pretty much fell in love with everywhere we shot.
Their session was on the same night that everyone and their dog got a picture of the cool funnel cloud north of Pittsburg. I wish we could have had a chance to see that in person, but we had one hell of a light show the entire way home with some of the craziest lightning we've ever seen.
We've got a huge line of Motion Videos hitting the net soon. You HAVE to check back to see Jennifer and Nathan's to hear one of the coolest engagement stories I've ever heard. I don't want to give away the details, but it will be worth the wait.
