Travis = Senior 2010

 Travis was our FINAL senior for 2010. We just finished up his session a couple of weeks ago after negotiating his crazy spring schedule and catching him while he was home from getting ready for his first semester of college in Indianapolis.

We managed to fit him in just in time for his yearbook deadline this spring and came up with this great Xposed Post about his car photo at night. When we met for his real session he checked another item off of my career 'Bucket List' by having me photograph him on his quad (a fancy name for a badass four-wheeler atv). I've always wanted to do a dirt bike type shoot before, and this was my big chance. I was really happy with the images we made, even if Kristina was a little freaked out while holding the light stands with Travis screaming around the track at 40 mph.

Eric = Senior 2011

 I know it may not seem much to some but I'm always immediately impressed by a guy that walks right up to you, introduces themselves, and then gives you a good old fashioned handshake. You don't see that very often with high schoolers anymore, but that's exactly what we got out of Eric when we met him in Chanute for his senior session. He jumped right out of the truck and came up to each one of us, said hello, and remembered our name.

Classy.

It ended up being a guys night out for Eric's session when the girls of FX were headed to Wichita for Annie's Bridal Shower. That left Roylan, Clinton the Intern, and myself on our own for the trip west. As it turned out Eric showed up to his session alone, so it left the four of us guys to run amuck all over town.

I wasn't sure exactly what we had gotten ourselves into when he showed us to a spot he had picked out on his own out by the country club. The only description I had been given was from one of the girls when they said "I don't know, it's like a grain silo or something in a field." 

I was thinking "Oh no. Something boring and generic." I was wrong again.

It ended up being this massive concrete structure that was only 8 foot wide (maybe), 100 feet long, and 40 feet high. The only way inside was through a small hole in the foundation that yours truly could just barely get through. We had to push each piece of gear in one by one before we had everything inside ready to go. It made for a really cool area to work with, and we got some killer images.

We were really excited to work in Chanute for our first senior session. It's always like a big playground when we've never worked in a city before, with every spot and option for pictures begging to be used.

The football images are definitely my favorite. We're doing the Pittsburg High Football Video again this year, but we'll be secretly rooting for Eric to have a great season.

Shelby + Abigail = Family

Meet Shelby and Abigail! Their mom and grandma drove them all the way from Altamont for their session.

These two are some of the most well behaved children I have photographed. They were so well behaved, in fact, that it was hard to get them to act goofy for a few photos with their Cowboy jerseys on. I asked who their favorite player was and, with a star-struck smile, Abigail informed me she is a huge fan of Tony Romo. Shelby doesn't really have a favorite player and is just a fan of the entire team. I bet these two get pretty rowdy on game day!

Thanks for a great session and helping me with my equipment! We can't wait to show you the rest of the images.

Wells = Family

Meet the Wells family!

We had the privilege of photographing Erin and Zane's wedding last summer. When Erin called and booked our Mother's Day Special, we were looking forward to seeing and photographing the Wells family again. Erin and Zane even used the opportunity to use up their Anniversary Session Certificate. It's a good thing because who knows if she would have been able to get Zane to return.

The session went well! It was a little hard getting the guys motivated to smile, but as you can see we pulled it off. Thanks for a fun session!

Kolter = Senior 2011

Kolter loves golf.  He loves it so much that he asked our crew to take some of his senior photos at the golf course, which of course we were excited about.  The crew got the lights all set up, posed Kolter for what was going to be an amazing shot, and then the most wonderful spritz of water hit the scene.  That's right...  The sprinklers turned on and sprayed right into our setup.  The crew had to grab the gear and get out.  We were safe and so was our equipment, but Kolter's cell phone got hit with a nice spray of water.  We hope no damage was done!  

Kolter is a great guy.  We really had fun at his session, even with the sprinkler episode.  We still managed to get some great golf photos and we hope you enjoy his images.

Chandler = Senior 2011

Chandler holds the record for our farthest senior ever. She came all the way from California to visit family here in Kansas, and with all the options she had back home we were excited that she chose us for her session!

Chandler is absolutely full of life and love and was fantastic to photograph. Her sister was there for wardrobe and hair support and helped to bring out some of the natural smiles we managed to get during the shoot.

They met us in Webb City for her shoot for our never-ending search for new and different backgrounds and locations for our clients. She was all giggles during her Motion Video, so I can't wait to share that with you in few days when the boys wrap up production.

Arin = Senior 2011

I don't know what to say about how awesome this years group of seniors have been. Every session has been amazing and Arin's was no exception. We met her over in Oswego for an evening of fun in front of the camera. 

We spent about an hour scouting the town and surrounding area for her session. I spent about 20 minutes of that debating the legality and safety of having her on a railroad bridge that runs over 100 feet over the Neosho River. I called Kristina to see what she thought. She advised that if I thought I needed to call and ask then I probably shouldn't do it. I guess we'll save that for a senior that likes to base jump in their free time.

We did have some excellent spots that wouldn't run the risk of having Arin falling into the river from such a great height. But, the river stuck in my mind and we just found a safer, easier way to incorporate it into her session.

Arin is our first senior from Labette County High, but we're hoping she'll be spreading the word soon so we can meet some of her friends too. Arin couldn't be any more beautiful or cool, so we're hoping she can bring more of her kind to visit us soon.

Amanda = Senior 2011

Meet Amanda, our Bronaugh Icon!  Her session featured a few of her favorite thing: trains, volleyball, and her adorable little dog, Cooper.  We hope she didn't lose some of her doggie love after the cute little guy locked himself and all of Amanda's clothes in the car during the session. The police tried to open the doors, but it was Amanda's dad that came to the rescue. The doors were unlocked, Cooper was free at last!   

We really had a great time and we hope you all enjoy her imag.
